The first attemp of the historical reconstruction “John Paul Jones in Kherson” was done 4.07.2010, the USA Independence Day, that concured with folkloric festival “Kupal’s’ki zori” in Hola Prystan’.
The fragments of Jones’s meetings with Catherine II the Great, Prince Grigoriy Potyomkin-Tavricheski, and General Alexander Suvorov were reproduced on the factual events place.
The show was presented on the Lower Dnieper’s bank. There was Cossack camp of Sydir Bily and Anton Holovaty, where Jones was admitted to Cossacks.
The event was worked out by “Artefakt” studio. Creative teamwork consisted of actors of Kherson M. Kulish Academic Drama Theatre, Kherson Club of historical reconstructers, and independent artists and models.
