Pachoskiy Iosif Konradovich
Outstanding naturalist, botanist, zoologist. Pachoskiy I.K. was born in 1864 in small town of Belgorodka of Volyn' province. 1895 hе studied the flora of Podol and Volyn' provinces. 1897 he was invited to Kherson to the position of entomologist. Here he studied the flora of steppe. He paid much attention to hunting legislation, and promoted prohibition of spring hunting. 1922 he was appointed the head of botanical department of scientific station in the reserved area "Chapli" in Askania-Nova. He made the background of Khrerson Museum of Natural History.
